In the Koudougou region of Burkina Faso, many displaced children are growing up amid violence, instability, and the loss of their homes. Living in temporary camps, they face daily dangers: street begging, recruitment into gangs, human trafficking, and hazardous child labour. Girls carry additional risks of sexual exploitation and forced marriage. For most, access to school has disappeared.

To respond to this need, the Claretian Missionaries want to build and equip a study and literacy room in the village of Ronsin. This safe, dedicated space will give 50 displaced children the chance to return to learning through basic education, literacy support, and the distribution of school kits.

By reducing school dropout and offering protection from exploitation, the project will provide these children not only with education, but with dignity, stability, and the possibility of a different future.
