In the village of Laipharok and its surrounding areas, minor tribal communities are facing deep fear, isolation, and displacement following recent ethnic conflicts. Families have been uprooted, livelihoods destroyed, and many children left orphaned or semi-orphaned. With no safe spaces to learn or rebuild a sense of normalcy, these young people are growing up amid uncertainty and trauma.
This project seeks to respond to this urgent reality by establishing a center of learning with boarding facilities a secure place where displaced children can study, receive care, and find emotional stability.
Through education, the project promotes peace, coexistence, and long-term community rebuilding Beyond education, the center aims to foster peaceful coexistence among diverse tribal groups who have long been caught in cycles of violence.
The Claretians, newly present in the region, are committed to uplifting the community through education and long-term support. By creating a safe and nurturing environment, this project will offer children protection, hope, and the foundation for a more peaceful future-one where education becomes the path out of displacement and conflict.
